Beaufort County Community College increases tuition



    Tuition will increase at Beaufort County Community College this fall as a result of action by the N.C. General Assembly and the N.C. Board of Community Colleges.

    Tuition at BCCC will increase for students from $50 to $56.50 per credit hour for N.C. residents and from $241.30 to $248.50 per credit hour for non-residents, effective at registration for the Fall 2010 semester.

    Tuition for students taking 16 or more credit hours will be $904 per semester for N.C. residents and $3,976 for non-residents.

    Student activity fees for resident and non-resident students remain unchanged, at $2 per credit hour. The maximum student activity fee is $32, based on 16 hours of instruction.

    Registration for Fall 2010 semester is scheduled to begin July 12 and continues on dates and times as follows:

* July 12 – 14 – Registration begins for returning students, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
* July 14 – New Student Orientation at 10 a.m. followed by registration for students attending an orientation session. Registration continues for returning students, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
* July 15 – Continued registration for new and returning students, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
* Aug. 5 – Deadline to pay tuition for Fall semester.
* Aug. 16 – Late registration, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m..
* Aug. 17 – First day of classes.
* Aug. 18 to 20 - Drop/add at Registrar’s Office.

    Any student who has overdue library materials or who is delinquent in the payment of any fees, fines, or other obligations to the college will not be permitted to complete the registration process until the student has satisfactorily resolved the situation.
